I'm Terry Tunks, owner and lead DJ of Spectrum Sound. I started DJing at Western Kentucky University in 1987 and have been producing weddings across the Tri-State since 1992. When you hire Spectrum Sound, you work with me from the first consultation through the last song — not a booking agency, not a substitute, not whoever was available. Me.

Terre Haute has been a crossroads since the National Road came through in the 1830s. It is where the contour Coca-Cola bottle was designed in 1915, where Eugene Debs organized, and where Larry Bird played college ball. Today it is Indiana State, Rose-Hulman, Saint Mary-of-the-Woods and Ivy Tech — which means a Terre Haute wedding almost always has an alumni contingent from somewhere else in the room alongside the Vigo County family. Add the Indianapolis and Chicago guests who drove down I-70 and you have a reception that is three or four crowds at once. I have been building one dance floor out of rooms like that since 1992.

I coordinate the entertainment flow around the photographer, caterer and venue so you are not managing production details in the middle of your own reception.

Terre Haute Convention Center. Downtown, a 12,000 sq ft Grand Ballroom with a connected Hilton Garden Inn and a 450-space garage. A large modern room — I run distributed coverage so the dance floor and the far tables get the same mix, and the garage makes load-in easy.
The Sycamore Farm. A restored 1840 post-and-beam Red Barn, 4,000 sq ft, French doors to an enclosed patio on the original limestone foundation. Warm wood acoustics; I plan the barn-to-patio flow so cocktail hour and reception never go quiet.
The Mill at Sugar Grove. Clinton, on the Indiana–Illinois line — a 1950s barn with a five-chandelier ballroom seating 250+, a separate reception room, an outdoor pavilion, and multiple ceremony sites on forty acres. Three spaces, three systems, and I know which ceremony site the wind favors.

Zone 5 travel ($400) is a separate line on every quote. Overnight lodging, when the schedule warrants it, is $200/room/night. Overtime is a flat $250/hr on every tier.

A low, rolling cloud of chilled fog fills the dance floor and stops at the ankles for your first dance. Set on the Convention Center's Grand Ballroom floor or in a Wabash Valley barn, it stays on the floor rather than rising, so every photograph stays clean. Clears in minutes with nothing left behind. Available for the first dance and parent dances. Cleared with your venue coordinator at the walk-through. Same invoice as the DJ.
