St. Anthony is a small unincorporated community of a couple hundred people in Jackson Township, platted in 1860 and named to secure a post office. What it has going for it is the St. Anthony Community Center just off Highway 64 — a renovated hall with a big paved lot, a ball field, and lighted tennis courts that hosts wedding receptions, anniversaries, and reunions for families from across the county. Backyard parties out here have room to spread. St. Anthony is Zone 2 — a flat $100 travel fee, shown as its own line. Dubois County runs on Eastern time, an hour ahead of Evansville — confirm start times in Eastern.

The Spectrum Sound Difference

Three things that set a Party DJ booking apart from a random Craigslist ad.

One person, every time. Every St. Anthony party gets Terry Tunks, not a rotating roster of subcontracted DJs. That means the person you talk to on the phone about your playlist, your timeline, and your do-not-play list is the same person running the mic and the mixer on the day — no last-minute swap, no handoff notes lost between two different people.

Gear built for real parties. The sound system, wireless mics, and lighting rig are the same professional-grade equipment Terry brings to weddings and corporate events, just right-sized for a backyard, a rec room, or a rented hall. A full backup system travels to every event, so a blown speaker or a dead battery never becomes your problem.

A plan built around your space. Before your date, Terry talks through your specific layout — where people will actually be standing, where the outlets are, whether the dance floor is inside or under a tent — so setup on the day is fast and the sound is dialed in for your room, not a generic template.

Party DJ FAQ — St. Anthony, IN

Who shows up to DJ my party in St. Anthony?

Terry Tunks, every time — no subcontractors, no rotating staff. The person you talk to on the phone is the person running your sound and mic on the day, and that's been true for 1,200-plus events with zero no-shows.

Is there a travel fee for St. Anthony?

Yes — St. Anthony is Zone 2, a flat $100 added to the package price and shown as its own line in your quote before you sign. It never gets blended into the package number.

Is there a deposit?

Yes. Once we've talked through your date, I hold it for 7 days with no payment. A 50% retainer, non-refundable, then locks it in the moment it clears. The balance is due on the first of the month before your event.

What music do you play?

Whatever your crowd wants. I've DJ'd since 1987, so the library runs from Motown and classic rock through current pop, country, and hip-hop, with plenty in between. You set the direction with your must-play and do-not-play lists, and I read the room from there and adjust in real time rather than running a fixed set.

What's included in the price?

Full sound system sized for the room, a wireless mic, MC and announcements if you want them, dance-floor lighting, and unlimited requests — on every tier. Higher tiers add more hours, upgraded lighting, and extras like fog and a second mic. There's no add-on list waiting to surprise you later — if it's listed in your tier, it's already in the price you were quoted, and anything extra, like the photo booth, is called out separately so you know exactly what you're paying for before you book.

How much space do you need?

A spot along a wall, not a corner — that gives your guests equal access to the dance floor from every angle. Roughly the footprint of a card table plus a little standing room, near a standard outlet. I'll confirm the exact spot when we go over the space.

Do you take breaks?

The music never stops. I don't take a set break like a band would — if I step away for a minute to grab water or check on setup, a playlist covers it seamlessly and you won't hear a gap. Your guests should never notice I stepped away at all.

How far ahead should I book?

As early as you can for spring-through-fall weekends, especially if your date falls near a local festival or a holiday weekend — those book up fastest. That said, plenty of Party DJ bookings come together on a few weeks' notice, so don't assume it's too late. Call and I'll tell you honestly whether your date's open rather than stringing you along.
