Rockport is where a teenage Abraham Lincoln borrowed law books from attorney John Pitcher and where he shoved off with Allen Gentry on a flatboat bound for New Orleans. The town remembers it — Lincoln Pioneer Village, built by the WPA in 1935 in Rockport City Park at the west end of Main Street, is a cluster of replica log cabins that draws school trips from across the region. The bluff itself gives Rockport a view down the Ohio that most river towns don't have. A backyard birthday here, or a reunion at the city park, gets the same hands-on setup as any closer booking. Is there a travel fee for Rockport?

Yes — Rockport is Zone 2, a flat $100 added to the package price and shown as its own line in your quote before you sign. It never gets blended into the package number.

Is there a deposit?

Yes. Once we've talked through your date, I hold it for 7 days with no payment. A 50% retainer, non-refundable, then locks it in the moment it clears. The balance is due on the first of the month before your event.

How far ahead should I book?

As early as you can for spring-through-fall weekends. That said, plenty of Party DJ bookings come together on a few weeks' notice — call and I'll tell you honestly whether your date's open.

Can I give you a do-not-play list?

Please do. Send your must-plays and your do-not-plays ahead of time, and I'll build the night around both. I take requests live too, but your list comes first.

Do you coordinate with a caterer or the venue?

Yes. If there's a venue coordinator or a caterer, I'll touch base before the day so announcements, meal timing, and cake land where they should.

Is the quote the final price?

Yes. My quote is my invoice. Package price plus any travel line you've already seen — nothing added after the fact.

What happens if your equipment fails?

I bring a full backup system to every event, not just a spare cable. If something goes down, the music keeps going and most guests never notice.
