New Salisbury is a small crossroads community of a few hundred people where State Roads 135 and 64 meet, about seven miles north of Corydon — platted in 1839, and today a quiet mix of older homes and newer rural subdivisions served by North Harrison schools. Backyard parties out here have room to spread, and family reunions often pull people in from Corydon, New Albany, and across the river. New Salisbury is Zone 5 — a flat $400 travel fee, shown as its own line, and for evening events an overnight stay may be worked into the plan. Harrison County runs on Eastern time, an hour ahead of Evansville — confirm start times in Eastern.

Party DJ FAQ — New Salisbury, IN

Who shows up to DJ my party in New Salisbury?

Terry Tunks, every time — no subcontractors, no rotating staff. The person you talk to on the phone is the person running your sound and mic on the day, and that's been true for 1,200-plus events with zero no-shows.

Is there a travel fee for New Salisbury?

Yes — New Salisbury is Zone 5, a flat $400 added to the package price and shown as its own line in your quote before you sign. It never gets blended into the package number.

Is there a deposit?

Yes. Once we've talked through your date, I hold it for 7 days with no payment. A 50% retainer, non-refundable, then locks it in the moment it clears. The balance is due on the first of the month before your event.

Do you ever need to stay overnight?

For most bookings this far out, it depends on the schedule. If load-in, teardown, or a late end time makes the drive home unsafe, lodging is billed separately at $200 per room per night and disclosed in your quote before you sign — never a surprise afterward.

What if it rains?

For an outdoor party I need a covered spot for the gear — a tent, porch, or garage works. We'll talk through a rain plan when we go over the space so nobody's scrambling on the day.

Do you play kids' parties?

Yes, and I keep them moving — games, requests, clean music. Tell me the age range and I'll plan the energy around it.

What if the party runs long?

Extra time is $100 an hour, arranged on the spot if you want to keep it going. No separate contract.

Can you do a slideshow or video?

Yes on the Party Plus and Full Send tiers — bring the file, I'll handle the playback and the timing so it runs when you want it to.
