● Zone 5 — +$400 flat travel ● 3–5 hr packages ● Terry personally, no subcontractors ● Quote = invoice

New Albany is the Floyd County seat, directly across the Ohio from downtown Louisville, and it has more going on than a suburb usually does — the Culbertson Mansion State Historic Site and the rest of Mansion Row on Main Street, a downtown restaurant and brewery scene that's filled in over the last decade, and Indiana University Southeast on the north side. Backyard parties in the older neighborhoods off Spring Street and reunions at the riverfront parks both get the same setup. New Albany is Zone 5 — a flat $400 travel fee, shown as its own line, and for evening events an overnight stay may be worked into the plan. Floyd County runs on Eastern time, an hour ahead of Evansville — confirm start times in Eastern.

Party DJ FAQ — New Albany, IN

Who shows up to DJ my party in New Albany?

Terry Tunks, every time — no subcontractors, no rotating staff. The person you talk to on the phone is the person running your sound and mic on the day, and that's been true for 1,200-plus events with zero no-shows.

Is there a travel fee for New Albany?

Yes — New Albany is Zone 5, a flat $400 added to the package price and shown as its own line in your quote before you sign. It never gets blended into the package number.

Is there a deposit?

Yes. Once we've talked through your date, I hold it for 7 days with no payment. A 50% retainer, non-refundable, then locks it in the moment it clears. The balance is due on the first of the month before your event.

Do you ever need to stay overnight?

For most bookings this far out, it depends on the schedule. If load-in, teardown, or a late end time makes the drive home unsafe, lodging is billed separately at $200 per room per night and disclosed in your quote before you sign — never a surprise afterward.

What's included in the price?

Full sound system sized for the room, a wireless mic, MC and announcements if you want them, dance-floor lighting, and unlimited requests — on every tier. Higher tiers add more hours, upgraded lighting, and extras like fog and a second mic.

How much space do you need?

A corner or a spot along a wall, roughly the footprint of a card table plus a little standing room, near a standard outlet. I'll confirm the exact spot when we go over the space.

Do you take breaks?

The music never stops. I don't take a set break; if I step away for a minute, a playlist covers it and you won't hear a gap.

How far ahead should I book?

As early as you can for spring-through-fall weekends. That said, plenty of Party DJ bookings come together on a few weeks' notice — call and I'll tell you honestly whether your date's open.
