Zerono-shows, 20+ years

Party DJ packages in Indianapolis start at $1,250 total (base $750 + $500 Zone 6 travel).

● Zone 6 — +$500 flat travel ● 3–5 hr packages ● Terry personally, no subcontractors ● Quote = invoice

Indianapolis is Zone 6 — a flat $500 travel fee and an overnight stay generally built into the plan, since the drive from Evansville is close to three hours each way. The upside is that Terry brings the same rig and the same personal setup to a Broad Ripple backyard, a Mass Ave loft, or a park shelter at Eagle Creek that he brings to a booking at home. One scheduling note: Memorial Day weekend belongs to the Indianapolis 500, and hotel rooms and traffic on the west side reflect it — pick a different weekend or plan lodging early. Marion County runs on Eastern time, an hour ahead of Evansville — confirm start times in Eastern.

Party DJ FAQ — Indianapolis, IN

Who shows up to DJ my party in Indianapolis?

Terry Tunks, every time — no subcontractors, no rotating staff. The person you talk to on the phone is the person running your sound and mic on the day, and that's been true for 1,200-plus events with zero no-shows.

Is there a travel fee for Indianapolis?

Yes — Indianapolis is Zone 6, a flat $500 added to the package price and shown as its own line in your quote before you sign. It never gets blended into the package number.

Is there a deposit?

Yes. Once we've talked through your date, I hold it for 7 days with no payment. A 50% retainer, non-refundable, then locks it in the moment it clears. The balance is due on the first of the month before your event.

Do you ever need to stay overnight?

For most bookings this far out, it depends on the schedule. If load-in, teardown, or a late end time makes the drive home unsafe, lodging is billed separately at $200 per room per night and disclosed in your quote before you sign — never a surprise afterward.

What happens if your equipment fails?

I bring a full backup system to every event, not just a spare cable. If something goes down, the music keeps going and most guests never notice.

What do you need for power?

One dedicated standard outlet is enough for most parties. For bigger lighting setups I'll want a second circuit so the lights don't share with the sound. If it's an outdoor party with no power nearby, tell me early and we'll plan for it.

What if it rains?

For an outdoor party I need a covered spot for the gear — a tent, porch, or garage works. We'll talk through a rain plan when we go over the space so nobody's scrambling on the day.

Do you play kids' parties?

Yes, and I keep them moving — games, requests, clean music. Tell me the age range and I'll plan the energy around it.
