Ferdinand is defined by the Monastery Immaculate Conception — the domed Romanesque church locals call the Castle on the Hill, home to one of the largest communities of Benedictine women in the country. Every third weekend of November the whole town turns into a Christkindlmarkt, with 200-plus booths spread across six sites and the Christmas Angel appearing at the monastery crypt doors on Friday night. The Ferdinand Community Center and the parish halls handle the rest of the year's reunions and milestone birthdays; Ferdinand State Forest is a few minutes south for outdoor gatherings. Ferdinand is Zone 2 — a flat $100 travel fee, shown as its own line. Dubois County runs on Eastern time, an hour ahead of Evansville — confirm start times in Eastern.

Who shows up to DJ my party in Ferdinand?

Terry Tunks, every time — no subcontractors, no rotating staff. The person you talk to on the phone is the person running your sound and mic on the day, and that's been true for 1,200-plus events with zero no-shows.

Is there a travel fee for Ferdinand?

Yes — Ferdinand is Zone 2, a flat $100 added to the package price and shown as its own line in your quote before you sign. It never gets blended into the package number.

Is there a deposit?

Yes. Once we've talked through your date, I hold it for 7 days with no payment. A 50% retainer, non-refundable, then locks it in the moment it clears. The balance is due on the first of the month before your event.

How much space do you need?

A corner or a spot along a wall, roughly the footprint of a card table plus a little standing room, near a standard outlet. I'll confirm the exact spot when we go over the space.

Do you take breaks?

The music never stops. I don't take a set break; if I step away for a minute, a playlist covers it and you won't hear a gap.

How far ahead should I book?

As early as you can for spring-through-fall weekends. That said, plenty of Party DJ bookings come together on a few weeks' notice — call and I'll tell you honestly whether your date's open.

Can I give you a do-not-play list?

Please do. Send your must-plays and your do-not-plays ahead of time, and I'll build the night around both. I take requests live too, but your list comes first.

Do you coordinate with a caterer or the venue?

Yes. If there's a venue coordinator or a caterer, I'll touch base before the day so announcements, meal timing, and cake land where they should.
